Yongfeng Guo got his PhD degree in Horticulture from Cornell University. He was a postdoctoral research fellow in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, before joining the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). He is currently a professor and director of the Biotechnology Research Center at the Tobacco Research Institute, CAAS. His research interest includes molecular regulation of leaf senescence, plant peptide signaling, and plant molecular pharming. He has authored more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and is the editor of the book “Plant Senescence – Methods and Protocols” published by Humana Press in 2018. He currently serves as associate editors/editorial board members of a number of scientific journals including Molecular Horticulture, Frontiers in Plant Science, and Scientific Reports. He is also a member and vice chairman of the Special Committee of Flowering, Maturation, and Senescence, Chinese Society for Plant Biology.
